MEDICAL SERVICES TO THE POOR AND NEEDY
Health is Wealth. We must take utmost care for the sound health of our body and mind. Many poor people in remote slums have been suffering from diverse diseases. We need to recoup our health to make them possesses a sound mind in a sound body. A voluntary team of one qualified doctor and a couple of nurses have been visiting the rural and urban sick people in the vicinity by conducting free health campaigns and giving the poor and helpless patients medicines at free of cost. These health camps will be announced in the rural and urban areas a week before hand so that the poor patients would come and avail the free medical service for them and are very much benefited. The patients would be given some health care suggestions besides the medical care.
One of the greatest problems in our country, besides the lack of food and education is healthcare. The government is unable to meet this critical need. In Satellite City, almost 75% of the people are physically ill and suffer mentally because of pain. Proper medication is next to impossible to obtain. Nature, in very few occasions works and takes care of a medical problem. But often many go for inexpensive witchcraft or unhygienic country medical practices that do not cure medical problems but make things worse and causes early or premature death. When we did prayers for free clinic, God heard our prayers and opened a way to start free clinic in Satellite City in amiraculous way. |
Free Clinic was started in Satellite City with a view to provide the poor people with proper medical care. On 7th December, 2002, the President of Satellite City Shri Kudipudi Satyanarayana in the presence of many people started the clinic. Many poor patients are given free health check-up in the clinic. Every day, nearly 500 patients are given free treatment with the help of one doctor, two nurses and an attender who provide humbly service to the needy. Because of the increased number of patients, additional funding is needed to help cover the cost of medications, equipment for operation theatre, labor room, in patient ward, X-ray unit, scanning machine, ECG machine etc. If any sponsor comes forward the free clinic will be able to provide greater services to the medical needs of the poor people.
AIDS AWARENESS PROGRAMME
Aids is caused by a tiny RNA virus which destrops T Lymphocytes responsible for the immune defence of our body. AIDS virus effects every organ of our body making them vulnerable to infection by opportunist infections. There is a need to educate the public about the prevention AIDS by conducting awareness programmes, through distributing the pamphlets, mike announcements and all posters, besides distributing the condoms at free of cost. We have been taking up voluntary activities of eradicating prostitution with the assistance of police department as our health policy. |

GUNNHILDS FREE CLINIC

When we did prayers for free clinic, God heard our prayers and opened a way to start free clinic in Satellite City in a miraculous way.
Gunnhild’s Free Clinic was started in Satellite City with a view to provide the poor people with proper medical care. God heard our prayers answered them. One-day while I was traveling, God guided me to start a medical clinic to serve the poor and needy. This was conveyed immediately to brother David. Coincidentally, it was the same time brother David’s wife, sister Margie, was admitted in the hospital to under go an operation. On the day of the surgery, sister Gunnhild Myers, who is a nurse with Cape Coral Hospital, cared for Margie. Brother David shared with sister Gunnhild about the school ministry. By God’s guidance, sister Gunnhild sent $25 to pastor John as a maiden gift for the ministry and he utilized the funds to start a clinic.

When Guunhild questioned him about how “with such little money can you start a clinic”? He answered in FAITH. In faith, when sister Gunnhild prayed, she was guided to send $250 per month to pastor John to start a free medical clinic. On 7th December 2002, in the presence of many pastors and elders, the free clinic was started. Many poor patients are given free health check up in the clinic. Every day, nearly 120 patients are given free treatment with the help of one doctor, two nurses and an attender who provide humble service to the needy.
The monthly funds sent by sister Gunnhild are used to buy medicines, pay staff salaries and buildings rent. Because of the increased number of patients, additional funding is needed to help cover the cost of medications. If any sponsor comes forward, the clinic ministry will be able to provide greater services to the medical needs of the poor people. May God bless sister Gunnhild and her family for all they are doing for the free clinic.
